Vehicle Accident

On Wednesday February 22 at 11:20 PM dispatched to a vehicle accident with possible entrapment at 570 Prospect Road in the Township. Upon arrival found the occupant out of the vehicle and was in care of Emergency Medical Services. Crews remained on scene for debris removal and cleanup. Station 76 was assisted by Hempfield Fire Dept.


Structure Fire

On Tuesday February 21 at 7:16 PM dispatched to a reported structure fire with possible entrapment on Mary Street in the Township. Upon arrival structure was a three unit apartment and had confirmation of one person trapped.  After the fire was knocked down, crews located a deceased individual on the first floor. A total of 3 families were displaced due to the fire. Station 76 was assisted by units from Columbia, Rohrerstown, Mountville, Hempfield, East Petersburg, Lancaster Twp, and Blue Rock.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families during this tragedy.

Recruitment Program

Four Fire Companies Join Forces to Recruit Volunteers

The fire companies of East Petersburg, Mountville, Rohrerstown and West Hempfield have joined forces to launch the “Why Not You?” volunteer firefighter recruitment campaign. Information about the campaign and ways to get involved can be found at www.JoinTheFD.com.


Vehicle Accident

On Saturday January 28 at 12:34 AM dispatched along with Station 80 Columbia Boro to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival found one pickup truck on its roof with one occupant inside. Patient was extricated and in care of EMS in 9 minutes.

Search Detail

On Wednesday January 18 at 6;07 PM dispatched to assist the PD to help search for a missing teenager in the Lake Grubb area. The subject was safely located in Columbia Boro. Thanks to Sta 80 from Columbia with assistance in this search. During the incident the Eng 761 was requested for a reported building fire in Rohrerstown area.
Thanks to E752 from Mt Joy for standing by in our Sta during this time.

Brush Fire

On Saturday January 14 at 8:32 AM Tanker 76 was dispatched to assist several mutual aid Eng Co’s in extinguishing multiple brush fires along Rt 30 W in West Hempfield Twp.

On Sunday December 26 at 2:37 AM Engine 76 assisted Hempfield Fire Dept with a garage fire on Parker Dr in East Hempfield Township.

On Saturday December 17 at 10:38 AM Rescue 76 responded to a vehicle accident rollover  at 441 and Old Chickies Hill Rd.


Mutual Aid

Tanker 76 assisted Fire Dept Mt Joy with a fully involved shed in Rapho Township this afternoon Tuesday November 15 .

Mutual Aid Structure Fire

On November 11 at 2:26 PM  Tanker 76 was dispatched to a structure fire in Conoy Township to assist the Bainbridge Fire Company. The Tanker hauled multiple loads of water.


Special Unit 76

On November 6 the Special Unit 76 (ATV) was utilized twice today on incidents.
First was a woods fire on Huntington PL. Crews along with Hempfield Fire Dept and several brush units extinguished about 1/4 acre.
Later in the evening the Special Unit was requested to remove an injured patient from a trail at Chickies Rock Co Park. The patient was located and transported to the Ambulance in the parking area

Commercial Building Fire

On Sunday October 18 at 7:17 AM dispatched to reported Commercial Building Fire at South 18th Street and Route 462 in the Township. Upon arrival found a dumpster at the rear of the building burning and encroaching upon the building occupied by the Family Dollar Store. Fire extinguished and no damage to the building. Crews assisted by units from Columbia and Mountville.

Community Service – Open House

An open house was held on Saturday September 17 starting at 6 pm. The Fire Company would like to thank everyone that came out for our annual event. It was a huge success.
The Fire Engine rides are always a very popular attraction. At dusk the Disney movie Planes, Fire & Rescue was shown . Thanks to everyone that hung around for the movie.
We truly appreciated the support from the community and your monetary donations.

Brush Fire

 On September 4 at 12:14 PM West Hempfield units along with Eng 802 from Columbia extinguished a brush fire in a bamboo patch over the noon hour along Franklin St in West Hempfield.
