On Tuesday February 21 at 7:16 PM dispatched to a reported structure fire with possible entrapment on Mary Street in the Township. Upon arrival structure was a three unit apartment and had confirmation of one person trapped. After the fire was knocked down, crews located a deceased individual on the first floor. A total of 3 families were displaced due to the fire. Station 76 was assisted by units from Columbia, Rohrerstown, Mountville, Hempfield, East Petersburg, Lancaster Twp, and Blue Rock.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families during this tragedy.

Four Fire Companies Join Forces to Recruit Volunteers
The fire companies of East Petersburg, Mountville, Rohrerstown and West Hempfield have joined forces to launch the “Why Not You?” volunteer firefighter recruitment campaign. Information about the campaign and ways to get involved can be found at www.JoinTheFD.com.
On Saturday January 28 at 12:34 AM dispatched along with Station 80 Columbia Boro to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival found one pickup truck on its roof with one occupant inside. Patient was extricated and in care of EMS in 9 minutes.
On Wednesday January 18 at 6;07 PM dispatched to assist the PD to help search for a missing teenager in the Lake Grubb area. The subject was safely located in Columbia Boro. Thanks to Sta 80 from Columbia with assistance in this search. During the incident the Eng 761 was requested for a reported building fire in Rohrerstown area.

On Saturday January 14 at 8:32 AM Tanker 76 was dispatched to assist several mutual aid Eng Co’s in extinguishing multiple brush fires along Rt 30 W in West Hempfield Twp.

On Sunday December 26 at 2:37 AM Engine 76 assisted Hempfield Fire Dept with a garage fire on Parker Dr in East Hempfield Township.
