The First Chicken BBQ is coming up in less than a week. This Saturday, April 10th with sales starting at 11:00am. We will have meals which includes Half a Chicken, a Baked Potato, a Roll & Butter, Slaw, a Dessert, and a Drink. If you are not interested in getting an entire meal, we will also be selling just the Half Chickens too.Thank You for your continued support, every dollar makes a difference, we look forward to seeing you there.

On Saturday April 4th we had our first Chicken BBQ of the year. With the high winds throughout the day it took us longer to cook the chicken. We would like to give a big thanks to all the patient patrons who came out and supported us. We hope for better weather conditions and to see you at our next BBQ on June 13th!
This saturday April 4th, 2009 is the first of the four annual Chicken BBQ here at West Hempfield Fire & Rescue Company. We hope to see you there. Chickens will be ready at 11am so get lined up. Meals are $8.00 and halfs $4.00 this year. Thanks for your support.
The last Chicken BBQ of 2008 is fast approaching. The BBQ will be Saturday, October 11th starting at 11:00am. This will be your last chance for the year to get those great tasting Chicken BBQ meals. Make sure you get enough to last you until we have the first one of 2009 in the spring.
Meals will be $7.00 and include: Half a Chicken, Baked Potato, Drink, Roll and Butter, and a Dessert
You will also be able to purchase just the Chicken halves if you wish for $4.00.

WHFR's 3rd BBQ of the year was a success. The first crews started just after 04:00hrs and had chicken on the pits by 05:30hrs. The first cars were allowed to start going through just before 11:00hrs as the crews in the pits finished cooking the last of the chicken before noon. All 1500 chickens were sold by 13:30hrs. Thanks to everyone that helped out and thanks to everyone for who came through for supporting WHFR.
We hope to see everyone again at our next BBQ on Saturday October 11th again starting at 11:00hrs.

West Hempfield Fire and Rescue held its second Chicken BBQ of the year today. Although taking time to run 6 fire calls throughout the day, the members of WHFR worked hard to sell a lot of chicken. All of the members who came out to help, along with the Boy Scout Troop, deserve a big thanks. The fire company would like to thank the community for their continued support of its BBQs.
A big thank you goes out to everyone that came out to make our 1st chicken BBQ successful. Our parking lot was jammed full of customers until we sold out. This was not made possible without the help of the BBQ committee, the support group, firefighters, Boy Scout Troop #267 and other fire company members. The next BBQ is Saturday, June 9th.
The fire company is looking for donations of used, functional computers, monitors and laptops. We would prefer newer computers able to run office type applications and some specific fire/ems reporting software, so your old 486dx gathering dust won't work. Please contact Phill at 413-9655 to see if your old computer would be suitable. Thanks for your continued support.
