West Hempfield QRS was established by the Ironville Fire Company in 1999 and has continued to provide service for almost eight years.  The QRS responds to Class 1 and 2 EMS calls in our first due area of West Hempfield Township, assisting local ambulance services.  Our 2001 Ford F550 is designated as the primary response vehicle for QRS 76; however, Rescue 76 is also certified to the QRS level and can respond if necessary. 

    The medical equipment carried on QRS 76 includes an Automatic External Defibrillator, Stokes Basket, Backboards, Cervical Immobilization Devices and Splints, Medical and Pediatric Bags, Trauma Bag, Burn Bag, Obstetrics Kit, Suction Kit, Oxygen, and Blankets.  Our QRS Captain has established nightly duty crews to assist with meeting the demand of the rising number of calls.
